The Basic
October 20th - 21st and/or
October 31st - November 1stThis class covers all of your entry-level needs to operate a chainsaw confidently. From essential maintenance, to safe handling and use, to restorative agroforestry practices, Aaron will walk you through everything you need to begin working on projects.
Safety PPE instruction - saw maintenance - chain sharpening - reading the fibers - felling theory

The Complex
November 21st - 22nd
If you have taken a previous class from Stump Regeneration or are otherwise familiar with basic chainsaw operation, this class will take your skills to the next level. Tackling skills like rigging and complex planning for sustainable forest management, we invite those looking for a challenge to join us.
Includes: more complex saw cuts - additional theory reading fibers - expanded felling theory - rigging - rope work - winching - more complex water restoration applications

The Women's Workshop
October 17th - 18th and/or
October 24th - 25thLearn to handle a chainsaw confidently in a range of situations while surrounded by other women, creating an environment of support, safety, and encouragement.
Same content as The Basic Workshop, but in a safe and comfy environment

Kid's Play
October 17th 18th and/or
October 24th - 25thYouth between the ages of 12 to 18 are welcome to attend this session. Aimed at younger students, this workshop places greater emphasis on safety above all, while teaching students basic operation.
12-15 year olds will require onsite parental chaperone
Includes the same content as The Basic, but at a pace and level of understanding aimed at the younger generation
All workshops will take place over weekends and will run for 1-2 days, depending on interest. Class size ranges from 4 - 8 people and will be confirmed once the minimum number of participants have registered.
